Orchestral musician：Yi Ding

Yi Ding, member of the Chinese National Orchestral Society and the Henan Provincial National Orchestral Society. She serves as a board member of the Boston Chinese Musicians Association, the leader of the Boston Youth Ensemble, and the leader of the Boston Sizhu Chamber Orchestra. Additionally, she teaches Guzheng at Phillips Academy. Awards & Recognitions: 2023: Outstanding Instructor Award from the American Youth Musicians Association 2023 & 2024: Outstanding Educational Contribution Award at the Boston International Music Competition 2019–2024: Recognized as an Outstanding Instructor for the Central Conservatory of Music’s Grading Examination for six consecutive years In 2021, Ding Yi founded the Yizhiyin Guzheng Ensemble in Andover, MA, with the mission of promoting Chinese traditional music and enriching the community with multicultural experiences. The ensemble has actively participated in community events and cultural celebrations. In 2022, they won the Gold Award in the Hua Yue Cup Instrumental Ensemble Competition. Her students have also won awards in national and international music competitions.
